First and First Admin
First and First Admin is an order service for food delivery from a restaurant in Kostanay, Kazakhstan: a client app, a staff app, and a notification server.
What I built
The project is a complete system built from a finished design and designed from scratch. The main server side uses the Google Firebase SDK. A separate Django server sends notifications to clients and staff.
- Sign-up by phone number or with Google and Apple.
- Choosing a restaurant on a map or from a list.
- Delivery or pickup, which changes the statuses while an order is tracked.
- Live status for the active order.
- An order rating.
- Notifications about the order, a birthday, and new offers.
- An order can be placed only during restaurant and delivery hours.
The staff app is available only after registration. It accepts an order, reaches the client by phone or WhatsApp, tracks statuses, filters orders for one restaurant, hides dishes when ingredients run out, and notifies staff about new and cancelled orders.
The Django server sends notifications when an app reports an order-status change, and on a schedule: a birthday and a request to rate the order. Promotional notifications can be sent from the console.
